Opportunities for NGOs, New Organizations, Political Parties and Enterprises

The Problem

There is no solution out there to protect the internal communications of private organizations that are most targeted for profit or political motives.

Leading news organizations, NGOs, political parties, and enterprises are increasingly subject to politically motivated hacking by nation-states and, increasingly, cyber-criminal acting as their surrogates.

According to recent surveys, cybersecurity is the n.1 concern of family offices worldwide, while it is the n.2 concern for high net-worth individuals. Apparently, there is nothing money can buy. In a recent PwC survey of more than 5,000 CEOs around the world, 47% are extremely concerned about cybersecurity. Hacks of the New York Times, of the Washington Post were reported, and more recently of 36 journalists of Al Jazeera. Even the top political party executives of the US Democratic National Party were hacked in 2016.

Even worse, most of these cyber crimes go undiscovered for years, if ever. When discovered, you don’t read much about it, as both victim and attacker gain from keeping it unreported.

Root of the Problem

Why is there not a proper offer if there is such huge latent demand?

Materially, we know very well what the problem is: hyper-complexity and obscurity of IT systems and reliance on blind unverified trust throughout supply-chains and life-cycle.

But, as a society, we solved that for commercial airliners and nuclear plants! Only one out of 16 million flights result in an accident. We are extremely good at security engineering, and especially certifications. Why then 1.5 billion mobile devices are made every year, each hackable even by a talented or well-resourced teenager hacker?

The root cause is ultimately the necessity of nations to break all IT at birth to retain legitimate lawful access, and the consequent lack, by design, of a truly trustless and comprehensive IT security certification governance model and body.

Everything is overly complex and broken by design, by powerful nations to retain investigative capabilities to prevent grave crimes. So any solution will need to reconcile the need for privacy and legitimate cyber-investigations.

Current Solutions

Event the best practices are not enough.

The most secure applications and cybersecurity solutions cannot be more secure than the device they run on. A properly configured and used iPhone with a secure messaging app like Signal is not sufficient, even the most secure applications and cybersecurity solutions cannot be more secure than the device they run on.

Properly configured and hardened open-source laptops are fine to protect the investigative work of a single journalist, but unfit for ongoing internal secure communications.

Special crypto phones - such as from Germany or from below-the-radar firms from Israel - come with no way to assess the security they actually deliver, as none of them controls the entire supply chain, and they are often close or controlled by some government.

Our Solution

Our solution is able to radically mitigate the problem because it tackles its root cause head-on.

We are therefore building the Seevik Wallet, a 2mm-thin personal computer, lodged inside stylish custom leather wallets, that brings unimagined privacy, security, and control to the private digital life of family offices (U)HNWIs, and their close personal and business associates.

It is seamlessly complementary to and synergic with the user's smartphone with a wide range of features and apps, including 1-to-1 and group text and calls and effective co-editing of articles and notes. It can be effectively used by regular journalistic sources, though it is not designed as a tool to protect whistleblowers.

We achieve radically unprecedented security through a new IT security certification body, the Trustless Computing Certification Body, being built by our NGO arm, that guarantees extreme levels of security review in relation to the complexity of all techs and processes critically involved, including compliance to international legitimate lawful access requests.

Opportunity & Discount

The idea of the Seevik Wallet, our startup and our main founder, Rufo Guerreschi, is driven by a very strong social mission to bring privacy, security and digital civil liberties to those persons and organizations that are most critical to a healthy and functioning democratic society, and not only the wealthier persons, as outline by the mission statement of the Trustless Computing Association, the NGO from which we spun off in 2019.

So therefore qualified and ethical NGOs, News Organizations, political parties, civil rights activists, political leaders, elected officials, investigative journalists, are entitled to apply for a large discount that may even down to the cost of providing the Seevik Wallet as a managed security service.

Initially, only 10,000 Seevik Wallets will be produced. Most will be reserved for executives and clients of partnering large private banks, and their associates.

Only 500 units will be available for privacy-sensitive individuals or organizations - such as family offices, news organizations, NGOs, political parties, or (U)HNWIs.

Fill the form below to register your interest today free-of-charge, because pre-order applications - when they will be opened - will be processed in the order received.

Pricing

Seevik Wallets are available as managed IT security service, that includes advanced security training, emergency response, support 24/7, and ambient security consulting.

In fact, as the risk profile of the user increases, how and where it is operated becomes more and more critical. So those services are needed to reduce the risks deriving from attackers hacking remotely (or even in-person) the users’ other IT devices or surveillance cameras, vehicles, homes, or offices.

The price is $4’900 for a pair per year, and $1,800 for each additional unit, plus a mandatory package of managed security services, proportional and specific to the user risk profile, including net-worth.

Yearly Membership for each pair includes:

  • 2 Seevik Wallets with default skins, and 2 wireless chargers.

  • Default Apps: one-to-one and group messaging and calls; full access to the Seevik Net social network; agreement writing and signing; intergenerational data custody; personal notes; password manager; an app for your iOS or Android mobile; and 2nd-factor authenticator.

  • Included mandatory special services proportionate to each user’s risk profile include: advanced security training, emergency response, support 24/7, ambient security consulting.

  • 3 “Invitation gifts” for a 25% discount for 2 years.

Politically-exposed politicians, elected officials, journalists, and activists, and their organizations, are eligible for large discounts, up to receiving the service at cost.

Can anyone pre-order the Seevik Wallet?

Only private individuals and organizations can order the Seevik Wallets. To ensure the highest quality of the initial social space created by the Seevik Wallets, all applicants will be identified, vetted, and approved by the company. A preference will be given to introduced applicants.

When will Seevik Wallets be ready for shipment?

Approximately by late-2022. Why that long? Radically exceeding the current state-of-the-art in IT security and privacy requires massive work on securing the entire supply chain, many technical iterations, and meticulous testing. So far we’ve invested 100 man-months, and CHF 500k in cash, including $160k from five domain-expert angel investors.
